Sunday Styles no. 71

In my quest to continually simplify my wardrobe in hopes that one day I can just blindly grab a top, a bottom, a jacket, a pair of shoes, and a bag and have them all magically match, I've become less and less prone to wearing any color. It's not that I don't enjoy color. I have plenty of it in my home...but wearing it. I just find it tough these days. Beige and indigo/navy seem to be the two exceptions when I peek into my closet...mostly because they're two of the easiest colors to combine with neutrals...also, I think beige is technically considered a neutral, right?

Anyway, today I'm trying to introduce yet another color (as muted as it is) into the mix.

So, here I am on this crisp Sunday, giving pale pink a go. I've always shied away from pink...probably because my aesthetic has never been overly girly, but pale pink. There's something undeniably restrained, yet feminine and it's the perfect color to combine with black, white, grey, and even navy.

And in other news, I need to take it easy today. The last week has been killer in terms of getting work done and prepping for the holiday season. This upcoming week is no different, so I'm taking today to try to do as little as possible and be as comfy as possible.

Read, write, watch a movie perhaps. Stroll through the local shops to find a letter tray for my entrance way on a painting that's been sitting unfinished for over a year (I was inspired and had a vision during my morning run, so I might actually be able to get it done in the next month!)

So many leisurely things to choose from and so little daylight to enjoy. Now I need to make sure I don't overdo it with trying to fit activities in. (When you start creating "to do" lists for your hobbies, you need to stop and relax.)

Hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday full of relaxation and fun activities...but not too many activities. xx!
