Sunday Styles no. 67

I give up. The weather in LA is ridiculous. Just when I was getting really excited about dipping temps...just when my head began bursting with visions of scarves, hot drinks, thick sweaters and cozy walks along streets lined with changing foliage...just when I was ready to wear my new winter coat every single day because that's what I do when I get something I love...

Just when all of this was happening, the temperature decided to creep back up over the last week. It was back to mid-80's and relentless sunshine which is fine and dandy for some, but a lack of seasons is really starting to mess with my brain's ability to understand the passing of time. That and the whole excitement-of-winter thing that was stolen away from me.

Today is no different. I checked the weather report this morning in hopes that it would cool down, but it said the high would be 83 degrees and the sun was already out at 7am.

So, today I'm just taking it easy.

Still obsessed with these Madewell jeans and grabbing another pair today as a back-up (you can never be too careful when it comes to having back-up's of perfect closet staples.) I'm also a huge fan of t-shirt and jeans, but hate how regular t-shirts look on me.

I picked this Sandro t-shirt up a while back and am totally all about it. I find myself wearing it multiple times a week. Great tailoring, still basic, but fits me the way I want. I don't even know if they have them anymore. I picked it up on sale months ago.

And, of course, you can't go wrong with a pair of classic penny loafers. G.H. Bass' weejuns are another staple. They're a little bit school kid, a little bit Audrey Hepburn, a little bit Gene Kelly, and a lot of perfection.

Now, off to do as few scheduled activities as possible and take advantage of the daylight hours. Has anyone else been completely overtaken with gloominess since the days have gotten shorter? I definitely have. Blech.

Hope you're getting some sun wherever you are! xo!

A Note About the Clothes: Sandro T-shirt (no longer available), Madewell High Riser Skinny Skinny Jeans (Lunar), G.H. Bass Diane Original Weejuns (Black)
