Sunday Styles no. 53

I cannot stress enough how important it is to own a robe and this is why this Sunday Styles is being dedicated to just that.

So, it's raining here in LA. It's been raining for a few days now and I've been waiting for Sunday to roll around so I could do just this: lounge around in my plush robe, on my plush faux fur blanket with my plush little pup, Merlin. (Can you tell how much he loves that blanket? If his love isn't properly conveyed in this image, check him out here and here.)

I know a lot of you like to lounge around in all manner of comfy clothes. Some of us find t-shirts and jeans relaxing (I don't - denim is pretty restrictive when you're trying to carb load.) Others go the way of the sweatpant (and thank goodness there are more fashionable options out there, but I can't seem to go that route either.)

Me? I like to just plod around my apartment in my robe. It's the equivalent of being consistently hugged by a million really calm (if there is such a thing) chinchillas. And in addition to be hugged by a million chinchillas, you can lay on a faux fur blanket that feels like you're riding on the back of the biggest, most majestic chinchilla in history.

Not to mention, there's a little touch of glamour to gliding around in a robe. Sure, my robe isn't silk, but it also doesn't say anything obscene across my butt and isn't made of velour. So, I'm already ahead of the game.

So, what am I trying to say here? Invest in a robe. Whether you're out west, dealing with the rain, or back east and awaiting yet another snowstorm, a perfect robe will make everything better. Speaking of which, I'm heading back east again tomorrow to face the snow…so, I suppose this is just me mentally preparing.

Gotta get as many cuddles as I can before the travel-stress sets in.

Merlin is SO over me squishing him to bits.
Hope you're all having a cozy, plush, relaxing Sunday. Oh, wait, the Oscars are happening today too, yeah? Even more of a reason to wear a robe. Time to stay in and get comfy, people! xo!
