Putting Us Bloggers to Shame: A 16th Century Sartorial Masterpiece

This is a must-read!
My mom-in-law, Elizabeth, sent me a fascinating article brought to us by the BBC news about the earliest fashion blog and I just had to share this amazing piece of history because I know you, dear readers, would appreciate it.

The best part about it?
The first-ever fashion blog was created by none other than a German accountant...a really fashion-obsessed German accountant by the name of Matthaeus Schwarz. His account (pun not intended, but convenient) started when he was 23 and went on until he was 63!

Here's a little tidbit...

Did I get your attention yet? Yes?
Well, then read the article here!

I mean, I'm sure we've all thought about hiring a professional watercolor illustrator to keep a record of our #OOTD (outfit of the day), but Matthaeus went there. Talk about commitment. If anything, this guy is an inspiration and shows us that no matter what your occupation...whatever walk of life you're trotting down, you too can record your sartorial adventures...and with a little bit of elbow grease (or, in this case, watercolor), you could make history.

Fancy-feathery-medieval hats off to you, Herr Schwarz, you're the man!
