F-F-Fashion Week: Day 4

Good gravy, today was one of those days...back to back shows and lots of coverage that had to be done...which meant very little time to do much of anything for this here blog. The good news? I was able to snap some photos while I was backstage doing the day job.

Case in point:

Me and part of my family away from home. Three of my favorite hyper talented hairstylists: Tyler Laswell, Linh Nguyen, and Ryan Taniguchi.

So, despite the fact that I wasn't able to grab many street style photos around the tents, I did get a chance to snap some shots backstage at Vivienne Tam and there was plenty of inspiration to go around.

This is Jeanie Syfu. Friend and genius hairstylist. She was leading our team backstage at Vivienne Tam today! But, really, what gives me the biggest girl crush on Jeanie is her impeccable sense of style. Behold, her amazing neck swag and her awesome mastery of navy blue. She's always a fashion inspiration. Also, HELLO, look at her amazing haircut! Gorgeous!

Speaking of Jeanie, check out her fantastic manicure! Inspiring much?! You know how much I love chevrons! (Feel free to reference my post on how to get a reverse chevron mani here.)

Speaking of nails, Vivienne Tam's show involved some gorgeously neutral manicures like this. Turns out the manis are stick on. Incoco makes these peel-and-stick manicures. I've never tried those types of manis before, but will finally get my chance. The Incoco team was gracious enough to pass along a few different styles of manicure sets my way backstage including this color (called Casting Call.)

I'll definitely be giving them a go when Fashion Week is done!

The make-up for the Tam show was also super inspiring. A little goth, a little dragon lady...I was in love. I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull it off, but when I get back to LA, I'm definitely going to go searching for a deep burgundy lip. Might be fun to try out once in a while! Sidenote: This model was so good at "serious face."

And here's the final look. The hair was kind of amazing. It's a little punk rock and a little samurai and a lot of hauteness. I know, I know. It's not the most practical, but it definitely worked with the Tam's old-school punk-inspired line...think "Berlin when the wall was coming down."

Anyway, that's all I got for you today. It's nearing 1am, so I should probably get some rest. I feel like I might be getting sick. (Noooooooo!) Tomorrow, plenty of fluids and I'm going to try to get to bed on the early side. I hope I get a chance to spot some fun FW attendees for you! Wish me luck & stay tuned! xo!
